A Sunday Evening

Just some random pictures from our Sunday evening. Josh and Brandy stopped by for a few hours and let the kids play. They played in the snow and all the kids followed Brannigan onto the roof of the playhouse to try and escape Uncle Josh. Luckily, no broken arms.

COUSINS!!

There is nothing quite like cousins!! So what do you do when you get together?? PLAY!!!!!!! Brandy and her kids came home this weekend, (so Josh could hunt). We went to the pumpkin patch, then played at the park. It was a blast. My mom and I even decided to go a round on the teeter-totter. It wasn't very fairly matched, since I seriously outweigh her, but it was FUN! I wish that they would just move back home, so every day could be a party.

Brannigan's Birthday Party

This is at Branns birthday party last week. It started out going to be a hunting party, but ended up being a soldier party. The kids had a blast. We made marshmello guns for them all to use and to take home (better than candy in a treat bag, don't you think).
It is so hard to belive that my baby is 7. They grow up way to quick.Posted by Picasa

Parade

Brannigan decided the night before the parade that he was going to be a clown. So at 10:00 we were digging through the Halloween boxes. I hate clowns, but LOVE this one. He was super cute, and he won the prize for the best kid on bike. Which was good, because later that night, he shot out the window of Grandmas truck with a BB gun.

This is Aunt Brandys float. Ashton loved riding on it, because she got to wear her PARTY DRESS! They won the prize for judges favorite. What a fun day.

Pure Happiness

Who say's you can't have your cake and eat it too? Riyo loved the cake at Brannigan's birthday party. She was so happy, I just had to get photo's. I will post Brannigan's party pictures later this week.

Cousins

We had a great time watching fireworks with our Doty cousins! We went to the town fireworks on Thursday night. Austin helps set them off and has a blast because he is a pyro. The kids were so loud in the back of the truck. The people next to us left!!!
Friday night we set off a few fireworks in the front yard. The kids loved it. You always gets lots of oohs & ahhhs no matter how big the fireworks!

Bryce's Story
On May 1, 2008 Bryce Jenkins was diagnosed with advanced stage 4 colon cancer. He was given only 18 months to live with a possible 2% chance of surviving.Doctors have removed 24 cancerous tumors from his abdomen, 14 cancerous lymph nodes and removed a large portion of his colon. The doctors have explained that chemo would only buy us time and would not be able to cure his advanced cancer; it is imperative that we find alternative treatments.Bryce’s first round of chemo was remarkably effective and within 6 months of having received treatment his test results showed no sign of cancer. However joyous we were, the doctors said “it will come back”. Unfortunately, in just 3 months the cancer did return as predicted and is much more aggressive this time. The tumors have extended to the outside of his liver as well as other areas of his abdomen and are becoming very painful. He began the next round of chemo with some new, very effective strategies, but on the second round of treatments Bryce suffered a life threatening reaction to his chemo. At this point, he realized he may no longer continue with chemo.Miraculously, Bryce has recently been given an opportunity to participate in a new, experimental cancer treatment in Germany. With perhaps a miracle, overwhelming generosity and kind assistance, Bryce was very fortunate to be the third of only four individuals to receive this treatment by the passing of a wonderful individual who had heard about Bryce and her family offered Bryce her position. This treatment offers a new potent anticancer agent for hepatocellular carcinomas and at the same time offers a direct approach for delivering an anticancer agent to liver tumors. The agent may have widespread application as a general anticancer agent for many other tumors. Also, the agent may have widespread application in suppressing or defeating many metastatic tumors as well as suppressing certain forms of leukemia.Bryce has now traveled twice to Frankfurt, Germany and on the first treatment received what appears to have stopped or killed the main tumors in his Liver and on his left side. However, as his cancer is very aggressive and fast growing, he has been asked to step up the treatments to twice each month. To complete the treatment Bryce must return to Germany twice each month for 8 more months; and while the Doctors are donating their time and the formula, Bryce must pay the costs of airfare, hotel, and hospital fees, which are running about $8,000 each visit. As you can imagine, $16,000 each month is a tremendous expense and our family is unable manage without assistance. We of course, are determined not to let cost interfere with this miraculous opportunity to receive life saving treatment.BRYCE DESPERATELY NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!We are aware that it is a difficult time to be asking for anything but we HUMBLY ask for you to please consider donating or at the very least please help us spread the word. Please send this message to everyone you know and ask that they contribute or can help find someone willing to.Bryce is the father of four beautiful children ages 18 months, 8, 10 and 12 years old. He is also the husband to the most beautiful, strong and loving woman we know. She has sacrificed so much and taken such amazing care of Bryce, he couldn’t have a better woman at his side during this difficult time.We firmly believe this is a cure for cancer and pray it will make it past all the hurdles and get to the patients who need it.The Jenkins Family

BACK TO SCHOOL!!

I am going back to school. As of yesterday I am a Massage Therapy student. Its crazy, I know. I just feel like it is something that needs to be done. I'm so sad to leave my kids though:(
I know that Daddy will be home with them, but it's just not the same. I will miss baseball, soccer, the first day of school. LOTS! I know that Dad will do a great job though. And it is onlt for 7 months. It' ll fly by. One the up side, I am way excited! Not only to go to school, but I will get to go to the temple. I promise to go at least once a week. That will be so good for me. I can't remember the last time that I went. Years maybe. So, I will be home on the weekends and plan to make them so much fun. As to make up for my guilty feelings. Wish me luck.

Dieting Sucks

So, I have been doing a 500 calorie a day diet. It sucks. Yes, I have lost 18 pounds in 13 days, but I am so hungry. And I am starting to cheat hear and there. I need to be stronger, but it is so hard. I think what is the harm in a bite of this or a bite of that. Right? But what happens when all the "bites" add up? I feel great. My pants are hanging off me, and my butt is shrinking, but how long can I keep it up? I have a reunion coming up, and I want everyone to say WOW! So, I will do better and try harder. Bye for now.

Easter Eggs

Posted by PicasaJust a few pictures of my kids coloring Easter eggs. Thanks to my sister Brandy for posting the pictures. I still am clueless. My sister and her kids came up for the weekend, and we wanted to do something fun. So, we colored Easter eggs. We also took our kids on a walk to the old town bridge. It is falling apart, but we played and swam there as kids. It's kinda neat that our kids get to apprecitate it too. Although, if my kids ever swam in the river, I would be horrified. If they did half the things I did as a kid, I would just die. So dangerous. But then kids will be kids.

I have just been asked to be the Primary Music Leader. I am way excited, it's going to be alot of fun. But I need a few ideas. What are some cute ideas that would help me teach the kids new song and keep them interested? Please advise. :)

Welcome to my blog

Hey everyone. I finally let Brandy talk me into blogging. I'm not sure how to put pictures up yet, but I promise to learn. Be patient with me. Just to let you know a little about me. My name is Sherry. I'm 27 and live in Marysvale:). I am married to my best friend and high school sweet heart, Austin. We have beeen married for almost 8 years. Things are going great. We have three beautiful kids. Brannigan is 6, Ashton is 4, and Riyo is 15 months. They are great. I decided today, that I will never take them shopping again. That will probably last a week or so, but it is nice to think about. I have concerns that I will get obsessed with blogging and neglect my scrapbooks, so I am going to try and limit my blogging to like once a week. But I think this will be a lot of fun. Bye for now.
